He served in the 60 mm. mortar section of C Company, in the second squad. I find him on the muster rolls for the 19th of February (D-Day), but can find no record of him since that date.

I am 3rd generation 'Coastie' My step-Grandfather was the engineer on the Buffalo Lightship when, in 1912, she was sunk with all hands in a November Gale on Lake Erie. My father, rank Boy First/Class was on the USCGC Morrell when an ammo ship exploded in Halifax Harbor, Nova Scotia during WW One (1918). On May 7th, 1958, I survived the sinking of the liberty launch on the Huron Lighship which claimed the life of my shipmate, SN (BM) Robery Gullickson near Port Huron, MI while we served on the Huron Lightship WAL-526. I completed 2 1/2 yrs aboard the Huron.

Lars Bo Iversen from Denmark is looking for any information about his relative and says 'His name was Robert Iversen (or Iverson), he was my grandfathers older brother. He left Denmark before WWI and I think he joined the USCG sometime in the 20ies'. He was also stationed aboard the SEBAGO (the 250 footer). He may have also served at Port Townsend WA.
