Welcome to The Virtual Reunion Hall.
Our Virtual Reunion Hall can best be described as a building with
sixteen decks (Districts, Headquarters, Cutters, Special Groups, etc) with a room for each
unit, each room has Era Tables (year groups [40s, 50s, 60s, etc]) -
and a Chat Table for chit-chat between shipmates.
The Virtual Reunion Hall is an excellent place to find your old shipmates, rekindle friendships and
exchange information.
Era Tables.
To help you to quickly find your old shipmates, each unit has several era tables, for the decades
from the 1940s through the 2000s. Seat yourself at your appropriate era table and post a comment
so your old shipmates can easily find you. When entering a comment, your name, year served
and comment will be automatically inserted along with an email icon that members can click on
and send you a note using our internal email forwarding system.
So, as an example, let's say you were aboard the CGC Dallas in 1969:
- You would begin using the Quick Jump
window, select "Cutters A-M" in the top window, then select the "CGC Dallas" in the bottom window, this takes
you down the hall to the Dallas' room.
- Here you will see the Era Tables,
the Chat Table, and a button to View the old Reunion Hall table.
- Now you would click on the 1960s button,
this seats you at the 1960s Era Table.
In order to post an entry, you will enter your UserID & Password,
your comments, the year you were aboard the Dallas (1969) and, finally,
click the Submit button. Once approved, your posting will automaticallly be posted on the table.
Chat Table. Each unit has its own Chat Table.
Basically this is close to what the old Reunion Hall table was like except you will have to
enter your Fred's Place UserID and Password in order
to post here. Your name will be automatically inserted on your comments. Please
use this table for chit-chats and do not use the Era Tables. Thanks for your
future cooperation.
That's all Folks! if you have any questions, thoughts, problems, or concerns, please do not
hesitate in emailing me.
