Please Read. Several members have had similar problems with the new Reunion Hall format. Hopefully this page will answer your problem too. What is the layout or structure of the Reunion Hall? Look at the Reunion Hall as a building. A building with many Decks. First deck, All Units (A-G), second deck, All Units (H-O), and so on. Some decks are labeled, CGDOne, CGDFive, etc. On each deck we have Rooms labeled with a unit's name. Within each room, we have many Tables. Each table has a sign on it reading the Era of the group that is seated there. Example: I was at COMMSTA Portsmouth in 1974. Using the Quick Jump elevator, I would select CGDFive's deck, then I'd walk down the passageway to the Portsmouth, COMMSTA Room. Once I get into the room, I'd seat myself at the 1970 Era table. Much like attending a REAL reunion. Do I have to sign-in just to look at a table? No! Once you've seated yourself at an Era Table, you are looking at all the comments left at that table. Right now, because the tables have just been set-up, many are empty (no comments yet) and it appears as though you might have to sign-in or something. That's not the case. Take a look at COMMSTA Portsmouth, 1970s table to see my comment. Cick here. I can't seem to "get in" on any of the tables. Why? The most common problem is you do not have a full registration. You must not only be registered but also have filled-out or completed a Directory Entry form. If you are having problems signing-in, click here. WARNING: Do not attempt to add a duplicate registration. Should I post my email address? What about updating my email address? The new system places an email icon next to your name to enable old shipmates to contact you. The reason we are using the email icon is to hide your address from spammers, webots, and phishers. There is no need for you to post your email address. Also, if you should change your email address you only have to sign-in and change your address on your member profile. It is then automatically changed throughout the entire Fred's Place website (Reunion Hall, Bulletins, Mutual Requests, etc.). I was on a unit from 1989 to 1991. Seems a bit much to have to go to two different tables just to find old friends. Why? Yes, the new system requires a few more clicks of the mouse but a whole lot of less scrolling. What is it they say about trying to please everyone all of the time? Why are we limited to three lines on our comments? The three line 'limit' is just a guideline. No traffic ticket here. Go ahead and use as much space as you wish. If there is any other problem you may be having, please email me.
