said: Jeff If we could get something going it would be super.Just give plenty of notice. I've
wanted to get my wife up north for a long time. The best I have done so far is South Haven for a
weekend.Just give me an excuse.I'll be there.Yes I did see the new E-Mail address. Bet I know what
6468 means. 1964 to 1968 right. Real clever, good thinking.

said: Dembo was an EN2 or EN1; he was also height deprived (about 5-7) and 'round,' as you
indelicately put it.
On 07/31/01 Jeff Lindstrom
said: Amazingly, he's still short, but he's far less round than he used to be. He looks great
for an old - nah, I won't go there! I think married life agrees with him. He still likes his adult
beverages, too. He and his wife live on an island off the coast of MA. They travel a lot. He finally
had to dump his old red 'Vette, because the frame rusted away. He has another one, though. We ought
to try to plan an informal get-together for everyone in CVX. Cox, Hook, Sheret, Rambus and I are
game, and we could probably also get Ratner to attend. Fortner told Rambus that he would come if he
could, and Sierz lives in MI. Dave Smith (GRUCOM) lives in CVX, and he'd also attend. Jon Uithol
from the Sundew expressed an interest, and perhaps Sixberry also. Where the heck is Dembinski?
Note the new e-mail address.

said: Rick Ross! A name from the past! Were your ears burning in June 2000? They should have
been - Jim Rambus, Rox Cox and I sat over some liquid refreshments up in CVX and recalled some of
the old times. The fish at Cross Fisheries is still GREAT! Their ears perked up when I told them
that we'd served together. Do you know anything of Raddatz or Dembinski?

said: Bob You and I were stationed at CVX together.Reqd my 4entry in the Charlevoix site. I was
gone from CVX by 69. Iwas stationed at ST.Ignace by then I remember Frank Hackett. I don't remember
any Electrician's Mates Though. Also was that Jerry Netterton Or Nettleton. Was he a BM1 I was
stationed on the Mackinaw with him. I am in contact with another Mackinaw sailor who is still
intouch with him. If it is him he lives somewhere near De Tour He is running a saw mill there. T
help your memory I was stationed with Charlie Hall and Marty Boland. Mike Rivers to. Speaking of
Rivers I saw him 4 or 5 years ago. He was working and living around me somewere in the Chicago
area.By the way can you remember an EN 1 that used to smoke a small pipe. He also wore glasses.

said: Rick I was stationed at CVX and the group in general from early 68 thru Nov 69 when I got
out. I spent some time on Beaver Is. We did an overhaulr and hull painting job on CVX'S 40 boat. The
Shamrock was an interesting place. Did you make it to the reunion at Charlevoix. Of the guys you
mentioned Gary Fortner is the only one I remember. Maybe becsause I was an EN=3.

said: I was BM2/BM1 on Beaver Is. in 65 & 66 when it was a summer SAR sub-unit manned from the
personnel out of Charlevoix CGSTA. We had a 7 man crew and compensatory leave (21 days out-7 days
in). Crew was Bob Baker, Don Dundas, Charlie Fyers, Gary Fortner and a couple of seamen. Biggest
bunch of outlaws since the James gang!! We had a lot of fun playing softball (and some other things
I won't mention) with the locals. It was a beautiful place to be stationed and I thouroghly enjoyed
my 2 years there.
