was originally located at Pier 90 and then moved to its current location. Great duty. I remember
Chief Tom Murray, MC Beaucage, Lt Wood, Russ Phillips and some other great people. Was in Seattle
in 2004 and went back. Completely different operation from the four radar screens, giant chart
table with models, single radio position. We spent two hours on each position and then two hours
off during an eight hour shift. I lived in a studio apt off Pike Street. Many fond memories.
Joined the Marine Corps in 1984 and will retire in 2009.

retired in92 and am living in Mexico. The best day at vts is when nothing happens on your watch. For
5 years my watch section and I never let anything happen on our watch. Would like to hear from any

RDC Esford in the PSVTS Training Department. Shiprides kept us connected to those we served, WSF's,
tankers and freighters were nice but the tugs were best. It was very enjoyable work.
