Joe Whitman LT
Joe Whitman, MMC, CWO, LT, Good friend, shipmate and “SAILOR” Passed Over the Bar from a massive heart attack! He secured the plant for the last time on March 5, 2003 in Kingman, AZ. He is already missed by all whom had the pleasure to meet this soft spoken giant who was always there teaching, helping, and protecting his shipmates. I had the pleasure to serve with him in the CGC Magnolia in the early 60’s. The family wishes donations given to the DAV, Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 145447, Cincinnati, Ohio 45250-5447, www.dav.org. Joe is at the Smith Funeral Home, 310 West Neshannock Rd., New Wilmington, PA 16142, 724-946-3505. Joe’s wife Sally’s address is 1201 Citrus Dr., Kingman, AZ 86401. She is presently enroute PA via daughter’s home in OK.
