Sara Batchelder West

Sara D. (Batchelder) West, 46, a beloved mother, friend, and companion, of East Falmouth, passed away at her residence on July 3, 2005 after a long hard fight with cancer. Mrs. West was born in Boston, the daughter of the late William K. and Diane (Laramie) Batchelder, and was raised in Turner Falls, Massachusetts. Sara served in the U.S. Coast Guard for ten years, the U.S. Postal Service for five years and worked for various Falmouth businesses for seventeen years. She was a member of the Falmouth community since 1987 and was well loved and known for her laugh and flare for life. She is survived by her two daughters; Morgan Johanna West, age 14, and Olivia Marie West, age 10, both of East Falmouth and her companion, Bruce Faulkner of East Falmouth. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 12th at 11:30 A.M. at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth Center. Interment private.
