CDR Richard Westcott USCG (Ret)
I was sad to read in the recent retiree newsletter, the
passing of Dick Westcott in September of 1998. Dick was
an ex-BMC and a member of the crew that brought the bark
EAGLE to the U.S. from Germany after World War-II. I had
always hoped to record his memories of the Eagle, but his
long term illness prevented it. He was a very fine
gentleman and good friend
