Those aboard USS Serpens (1945)
The Washington DC Chapter of the CPOA is holding a
memorial service for the 250 men - mainly Coasties - lost in the explosion of the USS SERPENS in
WWII. The ceremony will be held at the SERPENS monument in Arlington National Cemetery on 29
January 2005 (the 60th anniversary) at 1200. Reception to follow at the Women's Memorial.
