Elia Malu Tupuola
BMC Retired, Elia Malu Tupuola “Tup” has passed away. He died of cancer. Tup, as many knew him, entered the Coast Guard in 1967 and retired in 1987. Some of his units were; Station Pago Pago, American Samoa; Base Sand Island, Honolulu, HI; CGC Planetree; CGC Mellon; CGC Jarvis; and CGC Munro. After retiring from the Coast Guard he sailed with Matson Lines for several years before permanently retiring in Kaneohe, HI. He is survived by his wife, 4 children and 2 grandchildren. May God keep your seas smooth and your ship on course my friend. You were a great husband, father, shipmate and friend of many, and you will be missed.
