B. Foster Thomson III

B. Foster Thomson III, 64, retired US Coast Guard Captain, passed away Monday, June 5, 2006. Graduated from Jackson High School in 1959 and from the United Coast Guard Academy in 1963. He had a 27 year career. While commanding an 82 ft. patrol boat in Viet Nam, he earned the Silver Star. After his military retirement, he worked for the Public School system in Northern Virginia for 15 years before moving to Fleming Island in July 2005. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Linda Foreman Thomson, his two sons, Foster IV of Cumming,GA and John Lee of Clarkesville,GA. Interment will be with full military honors at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, FL
