Edward J. Sitarski
With regret, I announce the passing of Edward J. Sitarski, CWO(4), USCG
(Ret) on February 10, 1998, after a long battle with cancer. He began his
career in the US Navy 1942, transferring over to the USCG in 1954 and
retiring in 1975. He served aboard the USCGC Duane and Sweetbriar and
retired out of the MIO Chicago office. After retirement, he became a
Technical Rep. for Inland Steel Co., during the construction of the
M/V Joseph L Block, in Sturgeon Bay, WI. He was a good friend and will
be greatly missed.
