QM1 David Simmons
To Dave Simmons, a TRUE shipmate in all aspects. He knew what the
Coast Guardwas all about and strived to keep her so; instilling the
traditions that had been forgotten or put away for a while in todays
Guard. Dave had overcome his first battle with Hodgkins Disease the
first time, but it reared itself again and was overcome by it. He
held strong and true and never gave up. When he finally came to rest,
he was where he wanted to be; at home in Louisiana.Take care Bud, Ski.
