Billy Ray Rushton

Billy Ray Rushton was born on July 8,1925 in Abraham, Utah. He was preceded in death by daughter Linda M. (Allen) Thomas, grandchildren, Pamela A. Whinnery, Kassie L. Thomas, Maude A. Fauson, and great-grandchildren, Brady J. Anderson and Zoe F. Rushton. He is survived by his wife, Maudine J. (Swalander), 4 brothers, 2 sisters and his children, Donald R. (Kathy), Candace J. (Eric) Anderson, Mary L. (Jules) Fauson, Perry N. (Elaine), Deborah R., Charles F. (Sigrid) Rushton, Trina M., Glenna L. (Gary) Roethler, Karin K. (John) Ralph, Arthur J. (Phyllis) Nunnally, and grand daughter/side kick Rainey A. Roethler, 47 additional grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Bill grew up in a family with 16 brothers and sisters, met and married his wife at the age of 18. He proudly served in U.S. Coast Guard in WWII and the Korean War. In his many ventures, he was an auctioneer, hardware store owner, logging truck driver, and contractor. He was a proud friend of Bill W. He celebrated 42 years of sobriety on May 5,2005. He will be missed by all of his family, his extended family, as well as his A.A. family. He touched more lives than we will ever imagine with his generosity in sharing his experience, strength, and hope. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the friends and family that have extended their hand and taken him to events over the last few years. He was a member of the LDS Church where services will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2005 at 12:00 noon, 13420 94th Ave. East, Puyallup.
