Richard William Stevens (retired YNC)

Richard passed over the bar on April 19 2006 at the age of 72 years 9 months. Richard was born in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Dick served his country for 26 years. First in the USN and then 22 in the USCG. Some of his duty stations were the Block Island, Lake Champlain, Matagorda, Ironwood, Chautauqa, Gallatin, Rockaway, Spencer, Morgenthau, Campbell Governors Island, Aloha Tower, Buffalo Ny, Marblehead Ohio and Japan. Richard leaves behind his loving wife Barbara, Mother Agnes, son Jeffrey, Daughter Kay, brother Gary and sister Kathleen. 3 grand children and one great grandchild. Richard was a stand up sailor and helped many over the years. He is missed by all.
