CWO Carlton Roy Rittenhouse USCG Retired

It is with a heavy heart that I am saddened to announce the passing of our formerChatham Crew Mate MK1/EPO Carlton Rittenhouse (1983-1985) who passed over the Bar on the early morning of October 17, 2007. Carlton Rittenhouse crossed the Bar way too young due to a pulmonary embolism. Someone once said A true friend is the greatest of all blessings. Carlton will be forever admired from all that new him as a genuine friend and crew mate. No matter how hard you looked, a better friend and crew mate you would not find. He always had your back and that you could always depend on. He had fierce pride in his beliefs in the United States Coast Guard and that of his Station Chatham and it's crew that he so proudly served. Carlton was quiet and honest with an undeniable dry and predictable sense of humor. We hope and pray that Fair Winds and Following Seas accompany Carlton to his peaceful rest and that he keeps a watch over all those who loved him until we meet again. We will miss you Carlton.Singleton Funeral Home One Second Avenue SWGlen Burnie, MD 21061Phone: 410-766-7070 Carlton Roy RittenhouseDate: December 23rd, 1956 - October 17th, 2007Obituary: Carlton R.
