George Lawrence Richards, ATCS, USCG, Ret.
George passed away September 9th, 2002 after a short illness. He leaves behind daughters, Linda Trimm and Brenda Richards, and sons Steven and David Richards from his first marriage to Dolores. He also leaves behind his stepdaughter Carol Blau, and his stepson, Ray Wilson, from his second marriage; eighteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his second wife, Lynn, a son, Chuck Richards, and stepdaughter, Debbie Harris.
George was a fine man, shipmate, and a credit to the Coast Guard. He had a great enthusiasm for his job, be it in a flight crew, helping out on an engine change, or just lending a hand where needed.
He will be sorely missed by his family and his friends at the St. Petersburg CPOA.
May you soar above the clouds and storms old friend.
