Greg Randall (ex. RM1)

Gregory Randall, ex USCG Radioman First Class was gunned down at his apartment the evening of January 9th in Fort Worth, Texas. Greg was in the Coast Guard during the '80's stationed at COMMSTA Kodiak, USCGC Polar Sea, RADSTA/COMMSTA Guam, and he finished his enlistment on the Pacarea Staff in Alameda. Greg was a fine individual and a good friend. We will remember him always.------Below was taken from the Ft Worth Star:---Gregory Randall, 35, was killed as he opened the door of his Fort Worth apartment Friday night. Randall arrived home, presumably from the downtown accounting job he had held since spring. Greg recently graduated from Baylor University with a MBA in Accounting.Police said they believe that Randall put his canvas satchel on the floor but hadn't put away his keys or turned on the lights when he answered a knock at his door. Investigators said Randall was apparently shot immediately once in the head with a shotgun and killed instantly. Police found Randall dead just inside the front door of his 2-story apartment.-----The complete story can be found at---- http://www.startext.net/news/doc/1047/1:METRO65A/1:METRO65A011098.htmland http://www.startext.net/news/doc/1047/1:METRO34/1:METRO34011398.html------ David & Zaida Ringheimer
