Emery Payton
For those who knew FS2 Emery Payton, they may have known that he was diagnosed last year
with a bad heart. He was on a waiting list for a heart transplant. I was recently
informed that he passed away October 10th. If any of you know other friends of
his, please pass this message on. We will miss him dearly, but he will always
be with us.

I had the pleasure of serving with Emery aboard the USCGC SPENCER. He
always had a smile and a great attitude. He could cheer you up on a bad
day at sea. It was a shock to hear of his passing. He will surely be
missed. Fair winds my friend, till we meet again.

I served with Emery on USCGC SPENCER. It was a shock to hear of his passing. He was a ray of happiness on the ship, a kind soul, a friend. May his soul shine on us all from heaven above.

It is so nice to know that Em's family weren't the only ones
to enjoy his lasagna! It is hard to believe he is gone and
we will never again see his smiling face or eat his delicious
lasagna! Emery, you were a champ and I love you,

It is hard to know what to write about such a special, one
of a kind person. Emery was so many things to so many
people. I miss him terribly, but I know he would want
everyone to remember the good things and laugh at the
memories. Em I love ya and I'm thinking vanilla
milkshake!

Emer's we miss you. Wish I could have seen you just one
more time, but that was not to be. I loved the times that
we got to spend together when you were in Fl. They were
special! I loved your lasagna also. I think you had all
of us spoiled in that area.

Like all who knew Emery, I miss him dearly. He was my
brother-in-law of sorts. My husband, Jason, enjoyed him
coming over and watching WWF Wrestling. Now that he's gone
the tradition continues on and we watch every week.
Samuel remembers his Uncle Emmy and talks about visting him.
He is quite fond of his Uncle. That is probably the
hardest thing about him being gone; Samuel, my son
who's now 3ys old, won't get to know his Uncle the
way all of
us did. I was just getting to know Emery when he passed
away. Emery passed on his Ranch Chicken recipe to me,
and it will always be one of my favorites. Emery, I know
you are watching over all of us so put in a good word for
us
down here. We love you and miss you! The couch is yours
anytime.
