Jack Netherwood BMC USCG Retired
On September 20, 2003, Jack Netherwood BMC U.S.C.G., Retired Passed over the bar. Jack passed peacefully in his hospital room in Whitesburg, Kentucky. Jack had been ill for some time but for those who knew Jack, he never complained.
Jacks' prostate cancer was doing very well. However, his lungs were very poor.
Jack left four adult children whom he loved and respected very much.
He also left many shipmates along with many friends. His passing leaves much sadness to all who knew him..
Jack entered the U.S. Coast Guard in 1949 and retired in 1969. He served his country in the highest tradition. He is now resting on a mountainside overlooking the valley in which he lived for twenty years.
Our sincere condonlences go out to Jack's family, friends and shipmates.
Jack...may God watch over you with light winds and smooth sailing...you will be missed but never forgotten...from your family, friends and shipmates....
