Jack W. Myers

Jack W. Myers passed away on Sunday, 30 January 2000. Mr Myers was born in 1912 and grew up next door to the USLSS and later USCG Station in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He enlisted in the Coast Guard in 1942 and served in the South Pacific on a Landing Craft (Tank)(LST). He was honorably discharged as a Chief Boatswain's Mate in 1945. After retiring, he returned to his childhood home in Kenosha in 1988. He spent the next 12 years serving as a friend and benefactor to the crews of Station Kenosha. He will be sorely missed.
