SN Robert B. McMaster
SN Robert B. McMaster, USCG left us on March 9,1996, after serving on CGC
RESOLUTE/ALERT and at Station Cape Disappointment. He was killed while
responding as a reserve Police Officer for the Warrenton, OR, Department.
He is survived by his wife Elena and daughter Alannah (whom he never
met). The City of Warrenton is trying to raise money for a memorial
for Bernie, and is planning on a dedication ceremony on 9 March, 1998,
pending final funding of the $5600 memorial. Anyone wishing to
contribute to the fund may do so via the McMaster Memorial Fund, at
Wauna Federal Credit Union in Warrenton, OR, which can be reached at
800-572-7404. Bernie was the kind of person who made the world a
better place, and we miss our shipmate dearly.
