LCDR John Alfred McGough

LCDR Al McGough, aka the Silver Turkey, crossed the bar on May 6, 2006 in Jacksonville, FL. He served 22 years in this man's Coast Guard, first as an Electricians Mate and then after being promoted to Petty Officer First Class he was accepted into Officer Candidate School where he commenced his second career as an officer retiring with the grade of Lieutenant Commander. He was preceded across the bar by his son Patrick and is survived by his first wife, Judy and their four children, Sean, Casey, Kevin, and Erin and ten grandchildren; and is survived by his widow Griffin. We bid you adieu, Silver Fox.
