GM3 Lance Mathews
Two days ago on 9 September, GM3 Lance Mathews unexpectedly was taken from
us, and crossed the bar. After playing a friendly game of football during
his regular lunch hour Lance felt dizzy and experience mild chest pain.
Lance was taken to base Medical, by a close friend, where his condition
suddenly went from stable to critical. He never returned to work. Lance
worked in the armory at Reserve Training Center Yorktown. This is not an
easy loss, even though GM3 Mathews was not married, he had many friends.
There will be a memorial service at the RTC Yorktown Chapel on 11 September.
