John Kimbrell
My grandfather, John Kimbrell, passed away on September 26,
1999. I never asked him about the time he served during WWII, and a deply regret it. Thankfully
my grandmother, Phyllis Kimbrell, has joyfully told me many stories about her and my grandfather
during their time in the CG. If any of you knew either of them, I would love to talk to you. My
grandmother was a YN in Boston, MA, and my grandfather was a MM1 on board the USCGC Storis and
USCGC Ardvek (I think) in Greenland from 1942-1945.
