QMCM Jack Jorgensen
With sadness, I report the passing of QMCM Jack Jorgensen (ret). Jack
lost his battle with cancer on Sunday, April 26, 1998 in Massena, NY.
He retired in 1978 after spending 21 years in the Guard. Most of his
time was at sea, he loved sailing on the breakers. He recently retired
after 15 years with the St. Lawrence Seaway where he was an Operations
Supervisor. Jack loved the Guard and he had some great stories. His
final request is for his ashes to make one last trip on a polar
breaker to Antarctica.
