My father, Mike Illobre passed away on December 23rd, 2001 at St. Thomas hospital in Nashville, TN. He was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in August 2001 and fought an incredible battle right up to
the end. He'll be sorely missed by his family and former shipmates. He retired in 1973 after 23 years of Coast Guard service.
