LCDR John Homan
It is with utter shock and disbelief that I announce the passing of our beloved shipmate, LCDR John Homan, Group Commander, Coast Guard Group Cape Hatteras. LCDR Homan crossed the bar on Friday, 14 Nov 2003. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, 18 Nov from 1900 to 2100 hours followed by a Mass on Wednesday, 19 Nov at 1100 hours at the Our Lady of the Sea Catholic Church, 48478 NC Route 12, Buxton, NC. A burial at sea will be on a date and time as yet to be determined. At the family’s request, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, in lieu of flowers.
