MKC Howard E. (Shorty) Matthews passed away 3/13/07 at Carolina's System Hospital, Florence, SC. Funeral Services Friday 3/16/07, 11 AM at Shiloh Methodist Church, Lynchburg, SC. Howard retired with 21 years service, 3 tours on the CGC Sweetgum, 2 in the early 60's and one in the 70's.
