CWO William Heelan USCG Ret.

Bill Heelan passed away Tuesday evening, Dec. 16th, at his home in Westville, FL. He had been suffering from cancer for the past six months and died from congestive heart failure. I met Bill when we both were assigned to MSO, Miami. He was one of the truest and loyal friends a person could have. Althouth he lived far from the beach, he had salt water in his veins. As the priest stated at Bill's fueral,' If Heaven has Lighthouses, Bill will be in charge of one.' I truly belive he will. Bill Heelan, I salute you.

Bill will be buried at the National Cemitary at the old Ottis AFB on Cape Cod , at 1;00pm on tuesday, Dec. 23rd. All who knew him are invited.
