Walt will be deeply missed in the
Hospitality Room at the CPOA conventions. We will hoist sociables in your honor, Walt. Old
Boatswain's Mates never die, they just slip their moorings.

Walter Gorr
Regretfully, I must announce the passing
of a true shipmate, Walt Gorr. Walt, a retired BMCM was known and respected throughout the Coast
Guard Family and was a great supporter of Fred's Place. You may remember Walt's Wanderings - a
report Walt would
make regarding his travels around the country in his motorhome. Walt visited me in Central
Florida on several occasions. Walt's daughter reported, 'Dad requested to be cremated and buried
at sea.' She also asks, ' Please remember all the good times you shared with him.' I will. Calm
seas and fair winds, Walt. You will be missed.
