Kevin J. Geary
Following received from a concerned friend of Kevin J. Geary: He was a gunner's mate in the U.S. Coast Guard for 20 yrs. Originally from Florida, he moved to Texas to care for his aging parents. Unfortunately , Wednesday Dec. 22, 2004 he passed away from a disabling cancer and a brain tumor at the age of 50. He suffered severely , but for a very short while. (4 months) He had no way of telling anyone of his situation.

KEVIN JAMES GEARY SR. GM1 Kevin Geary, USCG Ret. passed away
Dec. 22, 2004 at Marble Falls, TX. He was born Sept. 26, l954 at Otis AFB, MA. He is survived by
a son Kevin Jr., Clayville NY, daughter Kimberly Berry, Albion, In; parents James and Harriet
Geary , Horseshoe Bay, TX; sisters Kathy Geary, Orlando FL; Karen Sole, Torrance, CA; brothers
Keith Geary, Carson City, NV and Kerri Geary, Orlando, FL He graduated from Colonial High School,
Orlando, FL - class of 1972.He served aboard several Coast Guard vessels, his last duty station
being USCG Academy, New London, CT. For his duties he was awarded the Coast Guard Commendation
Medal plus the rest of his awards and medals. He served his country well and will be greatly
missed by all the family and friends. Services will be conducted
privately.
