William Gartside
On 4MAR00, Bill Gartside USMC,Ret. crossed the bar. Bill was 100% Marine but was also honorary Coastie. He was a civilian employee at Air Station Savannah Ga for the last 10 or so years. He was the most dedicated and all around likable person that I had ever worked with or maybe known. His work ethic and can do attitude were taught to anyone who cared about the job that they did. He taught leadership skills and a dedication to doing a job right to all junior personnel (and some senior ones too). He always had a spark in his eye and a story that would brighten your day. The only enemy that he ever had was Viet Nam. Rest easy Marine, go with God.
