Jack D. Gardner

Jack D. Gardner, 66, died Saturday August 6, 2005 at Hospice Savannah Inc. He was born in Rock Hill, S.C. and had lived in Savannah for most of his life. He retired from the United States Coast Guard after 21 years of service. Mr. Gardner was the owner of Southside Heating and Air. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Gardner. Survivors: wife of 47 years, Janice Gardner, of Savannah; son, Donald Gardner, of Atlanta; two daughters and sons in law, Nancy and Randy Rentz, of Savannah; Barbara and Rob Demchak, of Savannah; four grand children, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home. Memorial Graveside Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hillcrest West Cemetery, with Rev. Rick West officiating.
