John D. Flewelling

Recieved word that CWO John D. Flewelling (ret) passed over the bar on September 2nd. John and I were just a couple of young Third Class Petty Officers when we first met on the Cutter Acushnet in 1961. We served together again as a couple of old Warrants at CGHQ in the early 80s. John was and will remain a dear friend. Calm winds and following seas, John. You'll be missed.
