A. F. (Al) Courter
A. F. (Al) Courter passed away December 24 at his home in Hudson, FL after
a long illness. Al retired as CWO (R) after 28 years in the Regular and
Reserve Coast Guard. He served on the Northland during its epic cruise
in 1940 and until 1943, when he went to the South Pacific on the FS 199.
He was a Plank Owner and driving force in the organization of the
Greenland Patrol Association and will be misssed by all who knew him.
