William Beasley Brown
William Beasley Brown, 84, Fairburn Georgia, died Dec. 25, 2002. He was born May 4, 1918 in Fayette County, the son of Willie and Allean Snead Brown.
He served in the United States Coast Guard and was a veteran of World War II. He worked in the trucking industry for 43 years and retired from GFA Transportation in 1981. After retiring, he remained active operating Rainbow Systems Car Washes in several locations. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairburn.
Services were at the First Baptist Church of Fairburn Georgia with the Rev. Frank Knuckle and the Rev. Joe Moore officiating. Interment was at Sharon Memorial Gardens, Tyrone Georgia.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Julia Farr Brown, Fairburn; sons, Kenneth and Gloria Brown, Leesburg, Fla., Chuck and Patti Brown, Fayetteville, and Philip and Jennifer Brown, Fairburn; a daughter, Rebecca and Ernest Jernigan, Fairburn; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Doug and Frances Farr, F. M. and Evelyn Farr, and Eddie and Zelma Farr; sisters-in-law, Betty and Roy Barefoot, and Shirley and Kenneth Presley; and a special aunt, 'Miss Lizzie' Brown, age 111 years.
