Philip B. Braus
Philip B. Braus, 74, of Vernon Hills, formerly of Deerfield,
passed away Saturday, February 19, 2005. He was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard and retired U.S.
Naval Reserve, member of Fleet Reserve Association Unit 53 and retired member of IBEW Local 134
and member of its Harmony Club. Beloved husband of 48 years to Catherine; loving father of Mary
Ann (Gary) Justus, Samuel (Teresa) Braus, William (Renatta) Braus, Sara (Anthony) Latham and the
late David Braus; dear grandfather of Mallory, Danielle, Elizabeth, Samuel, Benjamin, Martin and
Linda. He will be greatly missed by his ship mates and union brothers and sisters. Visitation was
held from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2005 at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787
Deerfield Rd., Highland Park, IL. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Monday, February 21,2005 at Holy Cross
Church, 724 Elder Lane, Deerfield, IL. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Highland Park, IL. In lieu
of flowers, donations may be made to the Highland Park Hospital Dialysis Unit, 718 Glenview Ave,
