Bennie B. Blackmon MMCM

Bennie Brooks Blackmon , U.S. Coast Guard Retired age 72, beloved husband 36 years to Colleen. died Friday April 27,2007 at his home in Sumter, SC. Bennie was born in Whiteville, N.C. to the late Louis and Girlie Blackmon. He retired ftom the Coast Guard after prroudly serving 21 years. A second career as a certified nuclear inspector spaned 24 years. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son Eddie of Wichita KS and a brother Louis of High Point NC and four grandchildren.. He was buried with full military honors at Evergreen Memorial Park.
