good sailor, surfman and a great friend Richard Bilbro, 47, of Laguna Niguel died Monday. He was
born in Burbank and was a store manager for West Marina. He was retired from the Coast Guard.
Survivors include his daughters, Stephanie Bilbro and Jamie Bilbro of Dearborn, Mich.; mother,
Adele Emerson of Olympia, Wash.; stepmother, Veda Bilbro of Newbury Park; stepsister, Tammy Burt
of Oxnard; and brothers, James Bilbro of Bend, Ore., Robert Bilbro of Coronado and Robert Emerson
of Olympia, Wash. Visitation: 11:30 a.m. Monday, El Camino Mortuary, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San
Diego. Services: noon Monday at the mortuary. A scattering of ashes at sea was planned. Donations:
