Joseph E. Beedlow
Joseph E. Beedlow, age 53, of Washburn, WI., died Monday, December 29, 2003 at the St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN. He was born July 18. 1950 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Joseph E. and Pearl V. (Gianantonio) Beedlow.
Joseph graduated from Jefferson High School in Jefferson, Ohio in 1968. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1969 to 1973 and was stationed in Bayfield, Grand Marais and Duluth, MN and above the Arctic Circle on Baffin Island, NT, Canada. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a bachelors degree in Hospitality Management/Tourism. Joseph was an instructor in the Hospitality Management/Tourism program at WITC in Ashland, WI for 14 years. He married Mary Torbick on April 7, 1982 in Washburn, WI. He currently was wouking at the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center in Ashland WI. for the National Park Service. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Mary of Washburn, two sons: Joseph and Charles; a brother, Peter (Nancy) Beedlow, Colona, IL.;and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial service will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, January 3, 2004 at the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center in Ashland, WI. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - 12 noon, Saturday at the center.
