Gary Edwin (Bear) Beal
Bear passed away on Thanksgiving Day, 1998. Bear served in 1968
through approximately 1970. He received a medical disability
discharge as a result of a fall he took. He was last aboard a
ship out of Seattle. He was from Maryville, Tennessee and had lived
there since his discharge. He has been a Postal Carrier for the last 25
years. He also has been active in Little League baseball for 25+
years.
Gary was a prankster and always could bring on a smile. He leaves
a wife, three sons, mother, brother, sister, nieces, nephews and
several friends.
Bear, I salute you as a special friend and fellow Coastie.
Semper Paratus, my friend! May we meet again...
