Cesar Amador
Cesar Amador, 72, of Astoria, died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005, in Seaside.
He was born Oct. 19, 1933, in Cavite City, Philippines, to Antonio and Marciana (Manalac) Amador.
Mr. Amador married Ekaterini Tsourounaki May 27, 1963 in Rhodes, Greece. She survives and lives in
Astoria.
Mr. Amador joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 1955. He became an Astoria resident in 1974. He retired
from the Coast Guard in 1981 and went to work at the Tongue Point Job Corps Center for the next 17
years.
He was a member of the American Legion and St. Mary’s, Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
Family members said he enjoyed fishing, gardening and back yard barbecues with his family.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Amador is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Anna Amador
of Portland, Christine and Richard Jesser of Eugene; one son, David Amador of Portland, and two
grandchildren, Benn and Katherine Jesser of Eugene and numerous relatives in the Philippines and
Greece.
