Gary M. Alexander

CDR Gary Alexander died yesterday at 0920 during treatment for a serious illness. Gary's smile, good nature and wisdom will be sorely missed. He was prior service, graduated from Officer Candidate School in 1981 and had a distinguished career including service aboard TANEY, OCRACOKE, at EPIC, Yorktowne, D11, Headquarters and most recently at Atlantic Area. Among all the chaos and turmoil in the service...through streamlining and 9-11... Gary always had the voice of reason. He made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
