Catchin' Up
Going into the second week of the patrol, excitement was building as we got closer to our area of operation. The hot ocean air made Sundaes on Sundays all the more refreshing and provided a great atmosphere to talk about the upcoming week. The crew was busy preparing themselves and the ship for our operational mission.
Although the preparation and excitement for the operational mission was short-lived due to mechanical failure, the crew was excited for the brief stop. During the short stop the Engineering Department worked diligently to get NORTHLAND back up and running. Many long and hard hours were put in to ensure we were able to sail, thanks Engineering Department.
The Operations Department had the pleasure of hosting this week’s Morale Pizza Night. Although it was their first time in the galley, they made it a memorable one. OSC Beckom and OS1 Herman looked like professionals, making concoctions that would rival any culinary masterpiece. Honorable mention goes to ET1 Medalis and ET2 Hudson for their superb efforts in the scullery.
Check back next week for more on the NORTHLAND adventure.
