Week Four

Week Four. We join the crew of the Cutter Jarvis as wrap-up their visit with the Korean Coast Guard in Port Of Incheon, Korea and make ready for the next leg of their trip. It's time to head north for an Alaskan patrol.

Petty Officer 2nd Class Louie McDade scans other vessels moored at the Port of Incheon on a round during his armed security watch aboard the CGC Jarvis. McDade, from San Diego, Calif., spent time as a US Navy sailor and a US Marine before finding his home as an Operation Specialist in the Coast Guard.   Chief Warrant Officer Stephen Brown explains some of the features on the USCGC Jarvis' bridge to a group of Korean US Navy League members.

Cadet Amanda Deis, a Louisiana native, will be entering her third year at the academy, is doing her 10-week summer cruise aboard the CGC Jarvis before returning to New London, Conn., in the fall.   CGC Jarvis Seaman Mark Sutton passes a box of potatoes to Cadet Emily Hartmann.
