Why did I start "Fred's Place"?
In April 1995, I was contacted by an
old shipmate who had been trying, for months, to contact me. He was
finally successful by using snail mail through the Pay Center at Topeka.
During one of our conversations we learned we both had e-mail addresses.
Wouldn't it be quicker and much easier if there were a place that anyone
with internet e-mail could access and look up an old shipmate? I thought
so. When I started Fred's Place I wanted it to be fun and rewarding. I
believe I can have fun and provide a needed service to my fellow shipmates.
Okay, Where was I stationed?
Enlisted March 1959, CGC Fredrick Lee,
RM School Groton (student), RADSTA Boston, CGC Cook Inlet, CGC Acushnet,
RADSTA Jacksonville Beach, RM School Groton/GOVIS (instructor), CGC Dallas,

or experience some great Mississippi River blues - com'on we're expectin' y'all.
