After reading your previous posts, all I could think to myself was, 'I couldn't believe that he actually allowed himself to submit these' First off, when you stated 'Just a quick lesson for the new generation who has slipped through the cracks', that comes off as very, very disrespectful. If your intent was to help those of that 'generation', then try utilizing CONSTRUCTIVE criticism instead of belittling those that are you shipmates. Second, you need to understand that this is in a sense a forum/message board. It's not a requirement to be formal when typing a request for a mutual. Mind you, no one is going to blatantly post anything that's derogatory or inappropriate, but it type things like 'bro' and 'peeps' and 'hit me up', phrases and terms that people know and understand, is hardly a reason to disrespect them, Myers. So, relax bro, it's all good over here. This website has been functioning very well thus far without your input, and will continue to do so, so fall back, aight?!
Sidenote, I might be hitting some of you up anyway. I'm looking to get aboard a cutter pretty soon to make the seatime requirement for OS, I'm currently stationed at the Camslant here in Chesapeake, VA. I've only been here for just under 6 months, so I'll have to standby for awhile, but pretty soon I'll be reaching out to you all. Hope to talk to you soon!

Good afternoon all! I’m OS3 Fitzgibbon stationed at Camslant in Chesapeake, VA -- looking for any land billets on the East Coast or Midwest. If interested HIT ME UP ;)! Note: Last time I checked ET2’s are not linguists nor are they English professors, therefore not understanding why any “electronics technician” would ever feel the need to correct anyone’s grammar. To put it in the same “invalid” sentence as you felt the need to put it—“move along, mind your own business and don't bother others.” You should also check into sentence fragments and the proper use of commas. Good day all! patrick.m.fitzgibbon@uscg.mil

Bob,
My feedback is for others to use so they are not perceived as an 'Invalid'. Seems these people have no one else in their life to show them the way or they have not taken any type of English class growing up.
Now, Move along, Mind Your own business and don't bother me.

The people here are very easy to get along with and you are encouraged to go to college while here. The base is located less than 30 minutes from Washington, D.C. and is a wonderful place to live. There are a lot of things to do in the capital area if you are into sightseeing and culture. Northern Virginia is also home to a lot of nature parks and is only a few hours away from Shenandoah National Park. When you post a mutual request, remember on thing: You are still in the Coast Guard, a military service. Some of you have either learned the wrong things either in life, boot camp, or both. These slang terms such as 'peeps', and 'hit me up' should not be used when trying to 'sell yourself or your unit' to a possible mutual candidate. Remember, you will be replacing another member so if the command that you are trying to impress reads these things, it may not look 'so good' for you. Just a quick lesson for the new generation who has slipped through the cracks.

Hi, I'm an OS3 down in Sector Key West looking for a transfer to the SF Bay or Seattle. Would also consider other large metropolitan areas metropolitan areas (Philadelphia/Boston/NY). Right now I'm standing CU, and it's a pretty good gig. 8 hour shifts, you only work half the month at best. Good crew, great place if you love the sun and outdoor activities. Fat BAH (or surprisingly decent government housing if that's what you're looking for) means you can clear a few extra bucks. Admittedly would prefer a land billet but afloat not a deal killer. No command approval yet, just floating it out there, see what bites. You can contact me on global.

Hello. I am FN Vick. I have recently run into some family issues that is enabling me to stay in CORPUS CHRISTI,TX. I need to be closer to home to take care of things and help out, while being able to advance and hopefully put my name on a school list sooner than later. If there is anyone in DULUTH, MN that would like to do a mutual, please contact me asap. Also feel free to contact me via telephone 6127087287 at anytime. I am an E-3, but if there is an E-2 who would like to come here that would be okay. The command here is awesome and very family oriented. I've made a lot of great friends down here, but its hard for me to enjoy it when I need to be with family. Its warm and sunny just about everyday and the beaches are beautiful. We provide assistance to all of the boats at our unit. If interested, contact me!

I'm working on an OCS application and on my CG application. I had admitted to having a slight case of eczema and the recruiter requested my medical records. On my records they (whoever looked at them at MEPS) discovered 2 other minor medical issues including a case of nighttime incontinence during my parent's separation when I was 8 and a prescription for antiperspirant, which has caused MEPS to believe I have over active sweat glands (I only got the script once). These medical incidents are not mentioned any other time on my records. That being said I did get disqualified with no option of a waiver (I did not go to MEPS at all to have the option to meet with a physician.) Some high ranked CG friends of mine talked to me about working around and creating my own waiver. I was wondering if anyone has done this and what their experience was like.
