Help! I lost my Username and Password.
A.
E-mail me and tell me EXACTLY what your Directory
Listing is (Last & First Name - Rate or Rank if necessary to properly identify your listing).
I will email your UserID and Password to the email address on file.
If it's the
Discussion Board username and password that you've lost -
that's part of Military.com - they suggest ...
If you've forgotten or lost your password, go to www.military.com and click Forgot your password? in the Login box on the login page. That will take you to a simple form, where you need to enter your member name and the email address you used when you signed up. Your password will be emailed to you.
If you have forgotten your user (member) name, please send us an email (use the Email Us form on the Help page, which you can get to without being logged in), and we will try to help you locate your user (member) information. We will need the email address you used when you joined Military.com.

What are the words to Semper Paratus and do you have the sheet music?
A. Source: "The Coast Guardsman's Manual",
Eighth Edition (ISBN 1-55750-450-4). The publisher is the
Naval Institute Press. It cost approximately $17, and can
be ordered at any bookstore.
The sheet music is available in
Acrobat Reader format here:
Page One,
Page Two
NEW New updated version may be found here. The
following are the "World War II words".
From Aztec Shore to Artic Zone,
To Europe and Far East,
The Flag is carried by our ships
In times of war and peace;
And never have we struck it yet,
In spite of foemen's might,
Who cheered our crews and cheered again
For showing how to fight.
Chorus
So here's the Coast Guard marching song,
We sing on land or sea.
Through surf and storm and howling gale,
High shall our purpose be,
"Semper Paratus" is our guide,
Our fame, our glory, too.
To fight to save or fight and die!
Aye! Coast Guard, we are for you.
"Surveyor" and "Narcissus,"
The "Eagle" and "Dispatch,"
The "Hudson" and the "Tampa,"
These names are hard to match;
>From Barrow's shores to Paraguay,
Great Lakes' or Ocean's wave,
The Coast Guard fights through storms and winds
To punish or to save.
Aye! we've been "Always Ready"
To do, to fight, or die!
Write glory to the shield we wear
In letters to the sky.
To sink the foe or save the maimed
Our mission and our pride.
We'll carry on 'til Kingdom Come
Ideals for which we've died.
-Captain F. S. Van Boskerck, USCG (author)

Where can I find some information on TRICARE?
A. A good starting point is
TRICARE Homepage.
back
How do I get started on my own Homepage?
A. First, you must find out
if your Internet Service Provider (ISP) offers disk space
on their server for you to use. Many do, a few do not. If
you are in the 'have nots', you might want to check into
either GeoCities
or Tripod both of these
services offer free space for homepages and pretty good
'getting started' tutorials for the novice to get a basic
homepage online.
Q. What is HTML?
A. The HyperText Markup Language
or HTML is the language or set of 'tags' that you use to
publish a homepage. Here is a very good
online tutorial for HTML.
Q. What is a Web Editor? And
which Web Editor do you use or recommend?
A. A Web Editor is something
like a word processor for HTML. I don't personally use any
web editor. I started out using a text editor much like
Notepad and have continued using it to this day. What is
it they say about teaching old dogs... Anyway if you are
interested in testing a few Web Editors, I suggest starting
with
this list of Web Editors.
back
Do I have to receive Military.com's Newsletter?
A. No.
back
What should I do when I'm transferred and don't have an active e-mail address?
A. First, I recommend you register
with Military.com. One of their benefits is a free email service
that allows you to have an e-mail address without having an Internet
Service Provider (ISP). All you need is a computer and a modem.
back
I can't hear the music. Any ideas?
A. It is extremely difficult to
remotely troubleshoot your system. I do have three suggestions. First,
insure you have a midi player installed on your computer. Second,
check to insure you can play a midi file locally. Third, check to
see that your browser is configured to automatically play midi
sound files.
