In late march the boat was being put in the water for the upcoming season at Bass River MA as a reserve boat out of that port.

The boat had been serviced over the winter months by the reserves at Chatham Station and is going in the water for trial runs. Years later the boat was moved to Osterville Sub Station and manned by the reserves for the summer season under the direction of Coast Guard Station Woods Hole MA.
